TRENTON Police are looking for a man who threw a pit bull at officers, who then shot and killed the animal, police said tonight.
Tony Butler of Trenton fled amid the shooting, police said.
And were going to charge him with aggravated assault for using a dog as a weapon, said Sgt. Tony Manzo, head of Tactical Anti-Crime Unit 2.
Detectives were on the 300 block of West Hanover Street when they saw Butler standing on a porch. The officers wanted to question Butler and warned him not to go inside, but instead he threw the dog and ran.

So, was this like shooting at a clay pigeon?
The cops should have shot Butler.
No doubt they would have liked to, but there would have been more paperwork involved.
Note to Self: Self, don’t throw dogs at cops.
if he had a litter of
chihuahuas
and threw them he would be accused of a high capacity assault dog weapon.
PULL.........
I MEAN BULL.....
er, um, whichever....
He was angry, knowing that they were going to shoot his dog, no matter what, so he just threw it at them?
OK, I’m having trouble picturing this in my mind. This guy actually THREW his PIT BULL at some cops that came to his door? I guess he was going for firepower more than accuracy. I mean, if you’re going for accuracy, maybe throw two or three chihuahuas instead. It would take more of them, of course, but it would eventually get the job done...
