but cmon, the gal wouldn’t have been so ambulatory after that.
and the other sad thing is that none of the characters develop to get you to relate to them as people. unlike Scott’s first movie Alien. they are all there to spout crap, be a suit, or be fodder. i think i liked the captain best, he was the most relatable as a real person.
i just expected more from Scott because he did really well with Alien, and he had always wanted to do the backstory to Alien. thought he would have done as good if not better than Alien, and i don’t think he did. i still like his work, just a let-down and i thought he’d have done better.
I would agree that the gal seemed more mobile than I would think, but that isn’t something that sticks in my craw or anything.
But yeah I really liked the captain too, I liked the main girl quite a bit as well. It took a while for her character to develop, but it did. I also liked David tremendously.
When I first saw it in the theater, I liked it alot but I too thought it could have been better. But When I watched it on PPV four times, honestly, I loved it. I couldn’t have watched it four times if it bored or underwhelmed me.
