You’re all going to laugh, but I actually really liked the first Total Recall.

Not precisely Sci-fi, but I love the Tremors movies.

Also liked Dune a lot.

No mention of “Robinson Crusoe on Mars” anywhere.

Akira Kurosawa’s “Colors”.

1. TRON, the original.
2. Starship Troopers, the original.
3. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, just for the effects and not a bad storyline.
4. I, Robot.
5. Star Wars. For 1977 it did well. Corny at times, but it had a lot into that movie.

Well, I am a bit late with a response to this thread, but I am bored, so I'll say I am another one who would pick such classics as Forbidden Planet and Children of the Damned among others, but if I had to pick a "Hidden" gem that I didn't see mentioned it, would be what was released in the U.S. in the early sixties as These Are the Damned (which opened with

Black Leather,Black Leather,Rock,Rock, Rock,

Black Leather,Black Leather,Smash,Smash,Smash,Smash,

Black Leather,Black Leather,Kill,Kill,Kill,...
