After my accident, I added a whistle to my mountain list. I couldn't talk above a whisper, but I was breathing, and I could have used a whistle to get the guys to where I was.
Radio and a flashlight got them close. Problem was I had dropped off a little shelf and wasn't visible.
Keep carrying a radio. It's a Good Thing(tm).
