Saw the movie last night, and I agree there was something about it, (including) the villain that made me feel like I was watching a Batman movie.
I did think that Javier Bardem was probably the best actor in that movie, as he was truly creepy.
All in all I enjoyed it up to where Bond and M head to Skyfall. After that...Let's just say I wasn't too crazy about the ending.

I have been a huge Bond fan for many years. Dad and I found some excellent shared time together watching the movies...again and again.
I too, thought that the movie’s ending was not what I would have hoped for in the movie.
What I did enjoy about the ending though, was that it’s purpose appeared to be a set up to role the master spy back into it’s traditional role with M, Q, and Moneypenny. In the end, I think that they will move the Bond Franchise back to it’s roots in this fashion.

I'm ready for a Bond film in which Bond tries to save the United States from a decades long world socialist plot involving Manchurian politicians, high-level international financial backing, and an insidious takeover of media, academics, and entertainment. All the while, he is pursued by multiple ‘agents’ sent to kill him by high-level socialists who have for years been infiltrated into top positions within the UK government. The movie could open with an attack against a UK or US ambassador and a coverup by the top levels of US and UK government, and include the use of blackmail and ‘honey traps’ to quiet opposition. But then, who would believe it?

Up until they went to Skyfall it was a great movie
it slowed down a bit after that but picked up again at the end
