Yes, when he complained about removal of compulsory prayer, I made the crazy assumption he wants it back. I do not want any government official telling me when, where, and how to pray. The USSC got it right in1962, and conservative efforts to reverse it are wrong- headed, even if good-hearted.

Yeah, you’re right. I don’t want my g/kids bowing seven times a day toward mecca or praying a generic pre approved prayer of any sort.

I started public school in 1951 in small conservative town, Missouri. Graduated from H.S. in 1963 and never heard a teacher or student pray aloud. I’m sure some teachers and students prayed silently, they still can, nothing at all stopping them, no government approval required.
