I too have a DPMS AP4 .308, which is great fun to shoot.

The muzzle blast and noise out of the 16” barrel is a little intense, however.

I don’t know what advantages the SOCOM has over a 16” AR in .308 that justifies the SOCOM costing almost twice as much.

I find that the AP4 is my sweetest shooting .308. I did change the buffer and spring and flash suppressor.
