Birthers can never and will never succeed in unseating President Obama.

Because they have too many back stabbing allies. Apparently there are some on the right that want to accept at face value what the lyingest man in political history tells them.

He has no legal or constitutional obligation whatever to prove his eligibility for election.

It is axiomatic in the creation of a legal requirement that the power to enforce it is implicit. The State election officials, failed to exercise that power.

Even if he were ineligible, it would be up to the states and federal governments to initiate legal proceedings to establish his ineligibility.

They do not have to establish his ineligibility. *HE* has to establish his ELIGIBILITY. They should have required him to do so four years ago, but they had never dealt with a potentially ineligible candidate before, and they did not know how to do their jobs properly.

This is something no federal or state Attorney General will ever do.

It never should have gotten to a Federal Level, or for that matter it should never have gotten to an Attorney General Level. He should have either presented the proof, or been stricken from the ballot.

Mitt Romney came within 2% of beating the President.

For all I know, Mitt Romney may have beaten him by 2%. I am not ready to conclude that what just transpired was an non-fraudulent election. Too much hankypanky being reported so far.

Birthers will never come within a million miles of unseating him.

And it is as a result of people like you that this prediction is a self fulfilling prophecy. Thanks you for all your work to torpedo efforts to force him to an account.

The Nation owes you a debt, not of gratitude, but of contempt. At least we tried to do something.

*HE* has to establish his ELIGIBILITY.

Simply incorrect.

That's a blind alley.

If he actually was born overseas (which I do not believe), the wisest course of action would be to have supported legislation in one or two key swing states that would require proof of birthright or naturalized citizenship for ballot access to state or national offices.

Instead, the Birthers went with the Taitz litigation strategy.

How did that work out for you?
