You really need to move out of Seattle, son... Your intellect and outlook would be better served elsewhere - Go EAST young man! At least to eastern WA...
My dearest mother-in-law -- who gave me the incalculable gift birthing and raising a wife far, far too good for the seedy likes of me, really -- is too ill to conveniently uproot, and doesn't want to move away from where her late husband is buried, in any event.
Out of love and admiration for her: my wife and I are resolved to stay here until her story is finally all told, one way or another.
A noble response, and a more than adequate one to explain that singular oddity. : )
It took my uncle most of his life to finally leave the Chicago suburbs, albeit that when he did, he didn't even get a day's drive away... And he is as Conservative as the day is long... So understand that I mean no assault upon your person or your thinking - One CAN BE Conservative and 'trapped in liberal Seattle', as you are the very evidence in your own self - But your condition must be admittedly rare, which is what makes it odd, and it is that curiosity which prompted my inquiry.
And it also prompts me to wish this grand mother - who is honorable enough for such respect - a very long and ever-more-blessed life... without any malice toward your person and with due consideration of the inevitable torture that such a wish will heap upon you. ; )
Montanans are not known for their fondness of those who inhabit the Left Coast, but I say, without reservation, that if you ever do get the chance to flee, you are welcome here. : )
