“I’ll say the same for Boardwalk Empire, just a beautiful production, Steve Buscemi is the embodiment of a mob boss, surprisingly enough. Again, quite adult at times, and can be gory. Setting is early Atlantic City, teens and twenties, boom years. Stunning show, but disturbing at times.”

With all due respect, I have felt very strongly that Steve Buscemi was terribly miscast as Nucky. I find that at times when his character is supposed to be most menacing he comes off as almost laughable to me.

Steve Buscemi works in the role of Nucky Thompson because he is not a cartoon mob boss, not at all a stereotype, imho. A very cold, disciplined, cynical man who does not deign to dirty his hands because he has people for that. Almost prissy he’s so fastidious, but lethal. I think he’s perfect in the role.

Also, I went looking for a trailer or something that would capture Game Of Thrones for anyone who might be interested, but be warned, it’s not at all for children for a variety of reasons. It is haunting, though:
