The White House and CIA are firmly denying a report that President Obama believes Mitt Romney wants CIA Director David Petraeus as his running mate. And one GOP source doubts Petraeus would even accept.
The Drudge Report raised eyebrows when it posted a piece Tuesday (August 7, 2012) alleging President Obama "whispered" to a "top fundraiser" this week that Romney is courting the general-turned-spy. Drudge did not identify the source of the report, citing only an "insider."
Shortly after the report went live, White House press secretary Jay Carney tried to torpedo any rumors that Obama made the hushed comment to one of his key money men—or anyone else.
"I can say with absolute confidence [that] such an assertion has never been uttered by the president," Carney told reporters in the White House briefing room. "And again, be mindful of your sources."

I would love for Petraeus to say on the stands that Obama was trying to use the affair to blackmail him and he had enough and that is why he went public with it.
Hopefully, if he testifies, he will do so with an acute awareness of duty, honor, country, history and eternity as his guides.
So that was why the FBI was trying to dig up dirt on Petraeus, and they found some. Chicago mafia at its finest.
I’m not sure what Petraeus’ mindset is, but if he has ANY information on ANYTHING, and the includes Fast and Furious, as well as Benghazigate, he needs to spill it. He could make those Chi-Town thugs very uncomfortable and get same payback!
I’ll tell you one thing: If General Petraeus had been picked as veep by Gov. Romney, this affair business would have been leaked BEFORE the election.

Hypothetically speaking, if he has and the election results were reversed, could Romney appoint Petraeus VP?
Petraeus went to Ranger School. He knows what a raid looks like, and Benghazi was a raid. He learned how to assess the situation and develop and communicate a plan under time constraints, at night, in the cold, without sleeping for days, while his gut was crying out for food, with instructors screaming at him. He’s not some third grader. He knew, without ever having to be told by anyone, that Benghazi was a raid and not some protest. He knowingly lied when he briefed those Congressmen and told them it was about a movie.
