It was first introduced as legislation in 1999 and now pending in Congress with several congressional cosponsors. If the Fair Tax legislation passes, the Sixteenth Amendment, which allws the income tax, will be repealed under companion legislation.. PLEASE RESEARCH this tax revenue replacement.. I have studied it and believe would be a great step in making aware to the citizen the actual cost of our government.
