Disagree.

Glock 22 .40 cal
Glock 23 .40 cal (common ammo for a primary handgun and backup)
Ruger 10/22......okay. I can live with that.
Wilson Combat 870 Pump action Shotgun with 14 inch barrel. (Load 1 1/2 inch slugs first them 8 pellet 00 Buck.)
Daniels Defense M4 with EOTech sight...FAR superior to the Bushmaster.
M-14 EBR - Enhanced Battle Rifle in 7.62

I’d add a H&K UMP in .40 cal to effectively use my pistol rounds in a 59 round magazine..

I have all but the Ruger....

Trust me...I know what I’m talking about.

Is it more interesting to think about this in terms of the types of ammo rounds we like/have? We all have a favorite gun. Mine are:

.22 - I think I got one of these before my first diaper change. Very versatile meat getter.

.38spl - hammerless revolver. My carry gun. I really have no other use for this round.

.40 - I have a S+W MP40. Love this round. Cheap and good for home defense.

.44 Magnum - I have a Marlin 1894 w/ peep site and a S+W model 629 revolver. I deer hunt with this pair. Either this or a shotgun for me.

.45ACP - Gotta have this round and a 1911. Never fail home defense.

12ga - Remington 1100 and 870. Foul and small game.

.556 Nato - I have Ruger mini-14 with Holographic site. Home defense weapon and round.

In terms of ammo, my big stock pile is .40, .45ACP and .556 Nato.

I usually buy a firearm of some kind as a consolation purchase when a major election goes the wrong way for us. Maybe a shotgun this time.

Reliable autopistol in a popular caliber, G19 is a great choice that covers duty for open carry and CCW effectively. At least they didn't parrot "1911".

.22 Rifle, you could do a lot worse than the 10/22.

12ga pump shotgun, the Mossberg (or 870) defines the category. Auto shotguns are great, but you pay to play.

Sport utility rifle, can't beat the AR15 in 5.56. If you only have one gun, this should be it.

The Mosin is the odd choice, better off with a Springfield or Mauser in mil surplus, or a modern Remington 700 in .308.
