I don’t think the problem is the same voters comming in more than once.

The problem is inside the building. I can’t speak for all states. But I learned that while poll workers are sitting at their tables, they are opening absentee ballots, signing the registration book for the ballots and then feeding them into the machines. I saw a lady, right in front of me sign Mark (somebody’s) name in the book and asked about it. I called my district’s election attorney to ask why a worker would be signing other peoples name. He answered immediately, “absentee ballots”.

Think about this for a minute. The campaigns have a record of who is registered but doesn’t vote year after year. All you really need to do is fill out a whole boat load of absentee ballots, put them in the envelopes and get them to the tables for workers to do what they need to do.

I would bet all I’m worth that this happens in places (if it could be proved). The greatest part of this scam is that it’s fool proof if the right envelopes are used. The only way anyone would even investigate it is if someone showed up to vote and their name was already signed. But we know that never happens (right?).

There is no foolproof way to prevent fraud. But certain districts are not working that hard to prevent it. The poll worker would not even know they were part of the scam in most cases. ...Just doing their job.

In Mexico, they give National Voter I.D cards. YOU HAVE to have this card to vote. Your photo is placed in the precinct registry files with name. They verify citizenship, because I am an American I can’t vote! Been here 25 years. They work all year to make sure people have only ONE National Voter I.D. cards comparing birth certificate, immigration records, and house address.
Before votes begin, pictures are taken of ballot boxes that are clear plastic, see through. Judges from 3 parties volunteer to watch the boxes, and after voting, all ballots are counted and tallied.
After voting, they punch a hole in the top right hand corner of your National Photo I.D, they draw a black line in the photo name line in your precinct, and they dip your finger in silver nitrate. You can come back and vote again, it’s hard to get off.
The US people are going to have to understand that their are power take over groups that will stoop to anything to get votes. In Mexico, after you go through all of this, sometimes people will take an empty ballot in their pocket to the street and sell it for $50 USD for the highest bidder to put X in the spot, and when then the person who goes to vote, could in theory pull out of his pockets ballots he has purchased and put X in the spot.

Maybe absentee ballots should have a place for a required notarization, stating that the voter must show a long-form birth certificate and photo ID in order to get it notarized before sending it back.

We need to collect the ideas to combat voter fraud and actually do something about this.

I’ve suggested required surveillance at all polling places, mandatory 4-year no-probation jail sentences for any election official who throws out a certified election observer without video proof that they were physically hindering the voting, and a requirement that observers have videotaping capability to cover for any “breakdown” of surveillance cameras.

I’ve also suggested that the vote tabulation software companies be required to work within a platform that automatically securely logs all input to the software itself so that any transaction involving the software itself would be trackable and available for audit.
