PLUS except for social security + medicare these programs are MEANS TESTED.

Actually there is a form of "means testing" on SS retirement benefits. Since my taxable non-SS income is more than the government thinks I deserve, part of my SS retirement benefits are also taxed.

Isn't that also tied to your "full retirement age?" Don't really know - just asking.
