Raelian spiritual applauds the end of Newsweek's printed edition, hopes for more to come

Rael, spiritual leader of the Raelian Movement, welcomes the announced end of Newsweek's physical magazine.

"It's very good news," he said, adding, "Let's hope that all the mainstream media will soon be bankrupt, even those online, and that the people will get REAL information through the Internet by reading websites that are truly independent from the super rich and the banking systems. That will be the real renaissance of REAL journalism." Rael has predicted and called for the end of printed news for quite some time.

In December 2006, he encouraged Raelians worldwide to "celebrate the death of each newspaper!"

"Not only are they [the newspapers] polluting the Earth and killing millions of trees every day, but they also belong to multinational conglomerates allied with conservative powers and primitive religions to manipulate the people," he said then.

"We Raelians know more than anybody else what terrible liars they are. The younger generations no longer want dirty, poisonous papers in their hands each morning. They prefer to check the news on a clean Internet, where they can go directly to the news and not believe any lie from the manipulated journalists. Remember to celebrate the death of each newspaper!"

Aren’t these the same people who were trying to clone humans in 2002?
