They closed down a plant with 3000 employees the day after the election? hmmm, sounds like there might be a bit more to do with this than just obama winning (although I am sure that did not help)

Why would you say that? Why would the re-election of a man who abhors the free market not be reason enough to pull the plug on a business. Hell, I pulled the plug on mine after his FIRST election.

Yeah, a decision like that isn't made overnight and implemented the next day. RIM is in serious trouble; they stuck with an outmoded product for too long and are retrenching.

The Rim Blackberries are a fading technology...underpowered and the software is outdated. The new smart phones with the multicore processors are blowing them away!
