I too live on the Alabama coast, but am looking at Panama as an Ex-Pat destination. Visited there a few months ago and liked it very much - much more than Costa Rica. It is relatively cheap, and a lot closer than other choices such as Chile or the Philippines.

If I were single and din’t have kids, I would probably move to Gulf Shores (?). I have a friend who lives there and he posts stuff all of the time on FB about it. sounds really nice.

I live in Tampa now. I would have to move somewhere near the water.

I can’t believe Obama carried Hillsborough Co. Romney support seemed to be everywhere. I am shocked.
