How could I have been so wrong? I mean, I had so much misplaced faith and trust in my neighbors. It could be that they actually were smarter than you're thinking: consider Romney's past, he's really liberal -- how can you get socialism out of the office by electing a socialist? You were betrayed, not by your fellows, but by the GOP leadership who had anointed Romney from before the primaries. (It's said far better here.)

Agreed, if twenty to thirty percent of qualified voters don't bother voting then what is the cause?
I believe that infiltrated communists redefined the median between the right and the left. For instance, if the Tea Party who are pro constituionalist meaning they believe in the “law of the land” are labeled as extremists, then certainly the people who don't vote see no distinguishing difference between the candidates. By moving the median point declaring law abiding citizens are extreme then the disinterested voters have no one to vote for.
