At first I blamed the envangelicals fot not turning out. But the real problem is that 51% of Americans have abandoned American values. They don't care about deficits, or foreign policy. They just want free stuff like the kid who wants a pony for Christmas and refuses to see why that is untenable.
51% of us have abandoned American values because they have been trained by our educational system and our media to process the world through emotional, not intellect. They simply respond to masterful manipulation of their impulses much as any herd does. Witness the transformation of Israel from David to Goliath in the eyes of the world in 5 short decades. Those of us who don’t subscribe to the leftist world view are deluding themselves if they think there is any chance of reversing the process in the next 50 years. The die is cast and the world of liberty lovers is dying.
