Although it pains me, you are correct. I have to agree with that statement.

Sure, some conservatives stayed home because of Romney. But the GOP lost the Catholic vote and the Jewish vote and the female vote. Was that because Romney was a RINO?

No, there is something much deeper going on here. Part of it has to do with the MSM becoming an arm of the Democratic party. Part of it has to do with the changing perceptions of how Americans view themselves. It's no longer can-do, but what-can-you-do-for-me.

Sort of like the reverse of JFK’s quote...it is now:
“Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country can do for you.” You make a good point. We have not truly faced the fact that these new Americans are totally disconnected from what we have always seen as the most fundamental American quality, that “I can” and running in when others are running away from problems. This, I think is due to feminization of our country...protect me vs. let me fix it.
