This morning, I purchased a 2000 gallon fuel tank, to be delivered tomorrow. We live on 28 acres and our car, truck and both tractors are all diesel. We will be buying our fuel in bulk now at a cheaper price, and be able to buy when/while the price is down and run for months at a time. We will also be in a good position in case of rationing or interruption in supply.

Willing to sell a FReeper an acre? I can weld, fabricate, and fix anything, including cars and electronics. Will barter for diesel.

How serious am I? Try me.

Just don't let yourself be caught with dyed fuel in road vehicle tanks. (inspections along those lines are more frequent for commercial trucks, but still rare) Speaking of which, one needs an off-road tank for the tractors.

one could look it up, but if memory serves the fine can be as high as $2,500 per gallon, for dyed (off-road) fuel found in vehicles registered for road use.
