something I really don’t understand —— the legalization of marijuana. I would love for a Colorado mother to tell me that she would have no problem with the school bus driver of her child smoking a joint before driving........or the surgeon operating on her child, smoking a joint before surgery.
I honestly don’t understand it. The one good thing I saw last night was John Murtha’s old seat, won in a special election by a democrat, going to a republican. that’s about it.
Of course everyone would have a problem with that. Everyone would have a problem with them having a drink before driving or surgery as well, but we still keep alcohol legal. Prohibition didn't work then. It isn't working now. We have to trust citizens to act responsibly and keep in place laws to punish then when they don't. The alternative is worse.
