Seriously? I don't see a republican ever again being president. We're now too far down the entitlement road and our country is forever changed. Once something is given to people, you can never take it away.

I wish I felt differently.

True. RINO's are all the GOP-e has to offer anymore. And one will never win.

I agree. Last night proves the dems have been remarkably successful in creating for themselves a permanent structural advantage. Under only two simultaneous dynamics would a GOPer ever be elected again as POTUS:

1. The outgoing democrat would have to be embroiled in a scandal so significant and widespread, the “media” couldn`t even cover it up, and

2. The GOP nominee would have to be far left, in the Dede Scozzafava or Mike Castle mold.

Sorry to have to say it, but the electorate said it loudly last night... conservatism ... including right-of-center moderation... doesn`t sell nationally anymore. The tipping point is past. America confirmed itself as a secularist, socialist country.
