I agree. The titanic demographic change has changed America and it is not going away. Each cycle it will become more and more pronounced. I’m wit you, I don’t know where we go, but traditional Conservatism in America is dead. It doesn’t mean we can’t “do something” but be assured, this is a very different America.

I was thinking Canada. They’re more conservative than the US now, and their currency is stronger!

The 47% voted as expected, in their own self interest. The die is cast, trillion $$ deficits and 50M+ people on food stamps for at least another 4 years.

I am not sure the country will survive in its present form.

The same place we always have to go; get conservatives elected to local offices, push the liberals back, and when liberals flying the Republican flag fail at the polls, call them on their ineffective surrender of conservative values.

We win nothing by trying to not quite out liberal a liberal. We simply lose if we lose, and lose if we win.

I’m feeling your pain.

In spite of the damage done by this evil socialist, so many Americans still voted for him. I am losing my faith in the American people. My husband (and a few others) have said that the American people have become too stupid, too lazy and too greedy to want a president that would expect them to ACT like Americans. I can see that I must- finally- agree with him. Bill OReilly said that “the folks” want “stuff”. I have always felt that most Americans KNEW that gub’mint “stuff” came with a hefty price. I can no longer believe that they know this, at all.

The last 4 years are NOTHING compared to the damage he will do in the next 4. We will never come back.

I think it’s obvious the GOP will go hard after the Mexican vote. The only way they can do that is back the DREAM act, if not something even worse, and they’ll be in favor of more handouts.

Capital C Conservatives will leave the GOP in droves.

One thing I’m sure of....we have the govt we deserve.

I believe it is the mooch factor. It is no longer an embarrassment to be dependent on others paying your way...it is a way of life for too many.

That and the blatant corruption within the entire Democrat organization where the end always justifies the means.

We are a country divided. 1/2 of us demand “free” stuff and the other 1/2 must somehow pay for it while carrying a $16 Trillion debt. We have become worse than Europe.

It's time to face it, the country just isn't buying what we, as conservatives, are selling at this point.

This is absolutely true.

The country's culture is somewhere else. It's possible the country is where California was two decades ago and won't be coming back from that any more than any of us in CA had wished that state would shift away from the crazy.

The election probably hasn't hinged on ideology or Obama "buying votes" with food stamps like divisive commentators have claims. We need to understand Obama's election was "historical" and voters may be unwilling to fire him.

Unfortunately, if he is reelected and we see John F Kerry as secretary of state and all manner of grotesque outcomes are ahead we will not be able to turn things in 2016. That's FOUR more years for Democrats to reshape the culture.

Anticipate a flip of the House in 2014 to Democrat hands. It is highly improbable the economy will continue to limp along now matter how much a second-term Obama fails to lead.

Many of us pointed out long ago that Romney could not generate the enthusiasm needed to win, but there is one primary factor behind Obama’s impending win, and this has also been pointed out previously.

There are too many parasites in this country that will continue to vote for democrats since they want their freebies and socialist policies. The tipping point has been passed, and this is now a permanent situation.

A Romney win would have only pushed this off four more years anyways as he would not be willing to change the forces that are sending this country over the cliff.

Get used to being ruled by the left. We have let ourselves get in this position and the ballot box is no longer a viable avenue to remedy the situation. Since the only ways out would be violence, as in a second Revolution or Civil War, or an economic upheaval that would leave millions dead or fleeing the country (and this would likely also lead to violence), I doubt there will be another move back to the right in my lifetime.

This is a sad day for this country, but the seeds were sown long ago.

Obamacare is now permanent, oppressive taxes will be the norm, and marxist ideology will continue to be promoted to our children in government run schools. This country will be getting rid of its nuclear weapons, and eventually we will no longer be a world leader, but just another province of a world government that we are heading towards.

I only want to say that Governor Romney ran the political race of a lifetime. I’m so grateful I witnessed it. It may be the last of its kind. The campaign of Obama and the scumbag vice president was a stealth, computerized ground game, not unlike any you can purchase in the stores. It had been perfected over the course of four years. They tied people from cities together in every category and made families of them, units, who guarded each other. They ultimately voted for a common cause.....themselves. They checked on each other and made sure all their “buckets” we’re current and plans working. They discarded no one......because they knew everyone wants to belong to a group, a club, a family. If someone had an abortion early in life, or was divorced or abandoned, or uneducated or unskilled, they weren’t heaped onto a pile of trash. The members were happy with the small joys government bestowed on them with your money. All they had to do was vote. They don’t know any other way and we don’t bother to teach.
My life is changed forever after seeing everyone work so hard to get a good man into office. I expect the Muslim Brotherhood to have offices on every corner now. I expect Obama to thumb his nose at Benghazi and to accommodate Putin. I expect Israel to have to protect herself. I think this may have been our final election. Why would I want to listen to blah blah blah talk radio anymore? Our own rip the skin off of our own based on religious beliefs? Divide and keep dividing? What bothers me most is, I don’t know anyone in my life who isn’t like me. I’ve taught my children to me like me and they theirs. The people who won are aliens....or maybe I am. I don’t see Conservatives regrouping.
