I had to show a picture ID to vote this morning (South Dakota) and while waiting I looked at the sign that listed acceptable firms of picture ID in addition to a driver's license. State issued ID cards, passports, tribal IDs and even an ID for a local college or high school were all acceptable. Even if you did not have one of these you could still provisionally vote by signing an affidavit and your vote would be counted once county election officials verified your name and address.
