I don’t understand “destination weddings”. The bride & groom expect guests to shell out money to get to & stay at the “destination” and then give a wedding gift besides?!?!?!
Unless it’s someplace I want to go to for a vacation (and that would eliminate about 80% of the world), I’m not spending my hard-earned money on a trip to a place I have no interest in.

what if you spend time paying off her debt, or vice versa, and then the relationship doesn’t work out?If one brings in lots of debt, chances are they didn't follow a budget before and won't follow one after. Kick the loser to the curb while you still have the chance.
