I’d be interested in seeing how many voters there are per machine. The longest I ever had to wait was about 30 minutes on the night we all voted to reject a new sales tax to pay for stadia. And that was in the “after work” busy period.

i would be astounded if voting was as quick here as you have in podunk PA, Westmoreland Co. like i said, we have a ZILLION diff languages being spoken by voters. There was a pollworker who kept going up and down the hall of the elementary school where we vote telling people to take their ID OUT now, don’t wait until you get up there to pull it out of your purse, wallet, pocket etc. that that was creating a hold up. I saw two hispanic women at the table where they check you off with some piece of paper that they were analyzing to see if it was sufficient for proof of residency i guess. they don’t let you in the room, giving a HIPAA-like distance, so i couldn’t hear exactly what the problem was. But you don’t have ANY of that, you have homogenous population who have been voting in that spot for the last millenium, so of course it’s streamlined.

Polls open in VA at 6 am, we prob should have gone then. that’s what i did when voting for W, and it was quicker. We went at 7 am today, which is the before work busy period.
