Market predictions?

Posted on 11/06/2012 3:43:05 AM PST by djf

The DOW sits currently at 13.112

Any predictions about what happens depending on who wins?

Personally, I think if Zero wins, (as of Wednesday morning), the DOW will open around 12,900

If Mitt wins, I suspect we will be looking at 13,200 or better.

Jobs? Food stamps? China? Oil?

Who can say!!!

It comes down to confidence.

If Romney wins - Market goes up, we all win.
If Obama wins? We all lose.

I’ll be watching the DOW today, early indicators of a Romney win will see heavy buys.

Full disclosure, I have no equity investments, stocks, bonds, otherwise.
I was just curious about what people thought.

I will be on suicide watch if Obama wins a second term.

The markets have been bullish for quite some time. I see a correction regardless of who takes office.

If Obama wins, businesses just need to universally walk on Wednesday and reduce their staff to make up for Obamacare costs for 2013. Any moron voting for utopia needs to experience it as an immediate cause and effect of their actions.

dead cat bounce no matter who wins

then a plunge no matter who wins, because traders know europe is going over the cliff after the election
(Obama people asked their socialist brethren to postpone this until after the election)

Romney is going to inherit possibly one of modern history's biggest messes

If Romney wins, the plunge protection team will quit propping it up. The market will crash.

In the short term the market looks for stability. The spinmeisters on the street will find reasons to rally the market.

In the long term when the Obama tax hikes come into play and it dawns on the market how disastrous Obama tax policies will be, it will end this current rally. That will happen sometime on or near inauguration.

That’s a good point. And sometimes begs me to ask “Does Mitt really want the White House?”

If Mitt becomes a modern day Calvin Coolidge, medium term, perhaps we can see a good rally.
