No it does not mean nothing. However, it should not be “we’ll give you light, Just go away for a day or two” It should be “your doing such a great job, we got the lights turned on for you”.

I doubt it was that abrupt. For one thing they’ve been in there getting setup for the show with the guards around all week. Apparently the guards DIDN’T have generators. Nobody got pushed off so that this show could get their lights turned on, they brought their own generators (probably with the original intent of running the production van, and probably even the TV lights and cameras, ancient buildings like this tend not to be able to take the electric load a TV production needs), and when the situation went down they hooked their generators into the buildings mains and powered the building.
