That might just be the Gallup/USA Today swing state poll. I think, though I could be wrong, that the final Gallup tracking poll will come out later today. It was suspended because of Hurricane Sandy and the the first results since resumption are due today from what I know.
You are correct. I went by the headline on Drudge which says Gallup swing 48-48. I thought it meant the Gallup poll had swung towards Obama into a tie. What it meant was the Gallup swing state poll is tied.
We shall see later what the actual Gallup national poll says. I do think it will be much closer than the 5 point lead Romney had before Sandy.
