Lets face it, James Bond movies have been nothing but live action cartoons for some time now. But, hey, if someone is willing to suspend disbelief to enjoy some mindless entertainment for a couple of hours then more power to them. Nobody owes anyone an explanation for how they spend their entertainment dollar.
I would agree, IF you were talking about Roger Moore’s Bond.
Despite initial misgivings, the lastest incarnation of Bond really does deliver. Better plots, better action, better villains.
Yes, certainly not “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy”, but much more gritty and thoughtful than the Bond many have come to know.
