Is anyone else who is or has a member in the Air Force Reserves suddenly being called up for training during Election Week?
I might just be whistling dixie, but I find it odd that my son is being called for training down in Florida during the week of Nov 4th.
I'm notifying my local board of elections to see how he can vote (possibly electronically) but I don't trust this regime to not try and throw a monkey wrench into the conservative military vote. . .
If you want to get more military insight into Benghazi and other military issues, I recommend the radio show on KFI LA AM 640 8-10 Sat and Sunday nights, Brian Suits, A Dark Secret Place.
can he just go pick up an absentee...not sure of dead line.
Vote early, they called me up N and told me where.
This seems pretty obvious to me.. Will be interesting to see how many FReepers have been called. That dirty rat 0bama.
As a former reservist we almost always drilled on the first weekend of the month. Nothing is unusual about it to me.
Nope.
I recall a report in 2000 that some Army people (maybe it was reservists) were sent on maneuvers on election day on very short notice—so they didn’t have a chance to cast an absentee ballot. I don’t know how many people that affected. If it did happen it presumably helped Gore by reducing the number of votes for Bush more than it would have reduced the number of votes for Gore.
