How long does the trip to your true home take from your temporary place RD?

This morning I left Mississippi at 4:30 am and arrived at the house in Texas around 10:15 - 6 hours or so. But no traffic at that time in the morning - 360 some odd miles at 70 mph most of the time except for an idiot who was going 45 in 60 mph construction area! Damn that had me puzzled and the trucker behind me also! It was zero dark thirty and no workers in the area. A twenty mile mile stretch of interstate made into a one lane. I would have been going 70! Not a lot of time wasted but damn annoying!

Oh Well. Made it safely back to Texas to my Wife Peggy and Cashmere - the Irish Setter who was wondering where I had gone with the riding mower without her!

By the way I told my Wife, when I left, I would be back at the Texas home to watch the Mississippi State - Alabama game tonight on ESPN. I don’t think State has a chance. I was at the 6-3 win that State had over the then #1 Alabama team on Nov. 1, 1980. We did not beat them again until 1996! So this game tonight is special to me. Both teams are 7-0. But Alabama IS Alabama and we are going to their House to play! Drats!
