Age is catching up with all of our classic rockers...within the next 5 to 10 years Rush, Deep Purple, Yes, Heart, Van Halen, Boston, Journey, Foreigner, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Judas Priest, Scorpions, Styx and others will be retired and gone. Go see them all while they are still around.

I read this sentence three times:
"Iron Maiden mainman Steve Harris thinks his band may have give more years left in them"

Age is the obvious issue here but overall the music industry is winding down. The rotten economy and the change from physical music (disks, etc) to virtual music is making permanent changes. These rockers made their fan base with physical music and all the buyers are getting too old to buy anymore.

“Iron Maiden gone in 10 years”
You mean they’re still around?

I saw Heart and Three Dog Night recently. They had a mush pit at the Heart show.

I realized I was getting old when I heard Iron Maiden on the classic rock station in 2007. Wait....that song is 25 years old.
Half of these musicians are in their 60's now, and still better that 95% of what's out there today.

Scorpions are already gone to my understanding. Most of those bands will call it a day, some will make albums but not tour, some will go on with new members. It makes you wonder if some of these bands will just continue on for hundreds of years after the last original band member is gone, like musical zombies. Journey seems to be a good pick for that maybe.
