That’s very succinct!

My almost eight-year-old kept complaining that Obama was saying “um” too much. He knows from his presentation skills that saying that word isn’t allowed.

He said repeatedly, “Mom, he’s saying ‘um’ again. Does that mean he’s lying?” I told him that saying “um” was just a sign that you weren’t prepared, and that yes, it was looking very bad for a President to say it so much.

Kids will pick up on things said in debates and parse a lot for themselves. They’re definitely not stupid.

I’m in the military education business - if any of my instructors talked like Zero without his teleprompter, they would be looking for another line of work.
