On November 4 of this year, a new pro-life documentary The Voice of John will be released. Produced by River Song Productions, this film will discuss the reality of babies born alive after abortions as well as evidence of atrocities that occur with far too much regularity in the abortion industry. In The Voice of John, the humanity of the unborn will be made real in yet one more way for the world to see, as one small voice will speak for millions.
John is not a make-believe person or a fantasy. He is a real baby, who survived an abortion and was then left to die by medical professionals. The movies site details the true story behind The Voice of John:
In 1977, a young nurse was working in an obstetrics unit of a major veterans hospital, stumbled upon a LIVE baby, placed in a dirty utility room, left to die! What she did not realize is that Roe vs. Wade had just been passed by the U.S. Supreme Court and this atrocity was indeed legal! The staff in the facility reprimanded her as she tried to explain that a baby was alive and placed on a cold metal table and left to die! Against their instruction, she held that baby in her arms and listened to his soft whimpering cries for survival. She held the child, baptized him, and said, I name you John, and I will tell the world what I saw here today. I will be your voice!
Thirty-five years later, Maryann Lawhon will hold true to her promise as River Song Productions presents The Voice of John.
In production since early 2011, The Voice of John will feature former Governor Mike Huckabee, former Planned Parenthood director and current president of And Then There Were None Abby Johnson, Father Frank Pavone, scientist Ken Ham, multiple members of the U.S. Congress, medical experts, abortion survivors, women who have had abortions, and former abortion doctors like Carol Everett. The Voice of John will take a look at abortion through a prism of countless angles, opinions, and stories that will bring the real truth to light.
The documentarys producer shares one of the main purposes behind this film: to convince the church as a whole to act on the issue of abortion:
This film is designed to be an forensic educational production that will not only expose the truth about this senseless killings but show to goodness and forgiveness that we all have through our Lord Jesus Christ. For we learn in Luke 6:37 we see: Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. (NIV) Yet statistics show Women identifying themselves as Protestants obtain 37.4% of all abortions in the U.S.; Catholic women account for 31.3%, Jewish women account for 1.3%, and women with no religious affiliation obtain 23.7% of all abortions. 18% of all abortions are performed on women who identify themselves as Born-again/Evangelical. (says Dorothy Guyton of dirt2diamonds.blogspot.com)
A new study by The Center For Reason (www.CenterForReason.com) finds that Christians have just as many abortions as their non-Christian counterparts. The study concludes that in the year 2000, Christians were responsible for 570,000 abortions. Catholics were found to be the worst offenders, with abortion rates higher than the national average. (www.centerforreason.com) We have a lot of work to do but its not all done on the streets of this great nation. It needs to be done right inside our own church walls. The church can no longer be silent, and then come to life every January and every other November, and say We are Pro-Life Of the 70 million Christians in the US about 3.5 m or about 5% are involved in the Pro-life movement in some way. Until we realize that abortion is a bigger symptom of the real problem, we cannot see an end in sight.
Five percent of Christians is clearly not enough. More Christians must stand against abortion and stand up for the innocent. Without question, abortion must be spoken about from our pulpits and in our pews. We must speak with truth and compassion, with love and courage. We must determine that we will not stop until every life is saved and every silenced voice like Johns is heard. This is the call that has been put on Christians, and we must answer it.
Yet this is not a film for just Christians. The Voice of John is a wake-up call to the nation as a whole. Despite your religious affiliation or lack of it and despite your involvement on either side of the abortion issue, and despite your current beliefs, this documentary is a must-see. We must individually wake up to the truth and choose to stand up for innocent lives. We must choose to forgive, and not condemn. Christians must choose to live like Christians, not just claim to be Christians.
This November, watch The Voice of John, weep with the reality of millions of innocent lives lost, and then get up out of your chair and do something to end the slaughter.

>> More Christians must stand against abortion
Killing nascent, human life should not only be a concern for the Faithful. Life should concern anyone that claims to be a thinking, caring individual.
Should be released before Election Date in swing states.
Oh my. I was a NICU nurse for 10 years. I took care of two failed abortions. We were told they were prostaglandin abortions, but am not sure because I was not part of that scene. We received them in the NICU when they refused to die. The two that I remember eventually died. The neonatologist told us that the prostaglandin abortions damaged their bodies. I am only a nurse, so I don’t claim to know anything more than what I saw and how dreadfully sick these babies were.
Lady doc might know.
Either way the babies died with you giving them a fighting chance. That counts for everything.
We don’t need to pray for it..we need to be prepared because war is coming and God will not allow this slaughter to continue much longer.
ok..well I do pray everyday but not with words as God already knows our needs. But true prayer will make us strong and able to effect change. If more people were strong Christians, we would never allow for the killing of unborn...ever.
And will this documentary be shown in theaters, or where do we view it?
I have seen (heard) this verse often quoted to give Democrats license to do whatever they want to do.
For example, The ("Reverend") Jesse Jackson quoted it to excuse Clinton from his despicable behavior getting blowjobs in the White House from a young intern.
How about your opinions - does this verse mean that we cannot condemn evil behavior?
Does anyone else remember instances of the verse being used to excuse a liberal from something condemnable?
Personally, I think it is Satan's deception to quote God's word in this way. Anyone else?
In theatres everywhere Nov. 3
Thanks, I will pass this on to friends and family.
During the second trimester the baby's body grows larger and the bones become harder. The procedure used in first trimester abortions - suction aspiration - cannot be used after a certain point because of the size and rigidity of the baby's body. Other, more gruesome tactics were devised. There is a "saline inducement", where a strong saline solution is injected into the uterus, the baby is killed and hormones are administered to cause labor and the dead, burned body of the baby is delivered. Some babies have actually survived this procedure but not many.
Another is the D&C type, dilation and curettage, where the abortionist uses a sharp curette with other instruments to grab the baby's body, twisting, cutting and dismembering it in utero and removing the pieces through the partially opened cervix. The abortionist must reassemble the body parts to ensure all the pieces have been removed. Any remaining tissue will cause infection and is a known complication of abortion. It is one of the main causes of infertility as is the accidental puncturing of the uterus with the sharp instruments, which can result in serious injury and even death.
Some people will refuse to learn about what happens in abortion, content to bury their collective heads in the sand and hide behind the slogan that, "Though I am personally opposed to abortion, I will not stand in the way of a woman doing with her body what she feels is best.". I am convinced that, just as it took the horrific pictures of the Nazi death camps to awake America and the world up to the atrocities being done there, so must we come face to face with the gruesome things that are happening in the hush-hush world of "reproductive health". Abortion usually ALWAYS results in the death of a living human child and sometimes - still - the death of the mother as well. The abortion lobby fights tooth and nail against any advertisement of the reality of abortion - the mutilated babies, the dead or damaged mothers, the emotionally damaged mothers and fathers - because it might "distress" people. Well, darn it, we NEED to be MORE distressed. We NEED to be outraged and horrified enough that we start standing up against the continuing promotion of the slaughter of the innocents of our day. The six million killed by the Nazis ARE horrible and should NEVER be allowed to happen again. But there have been TEN TIMES that many killed by abortion in our country alone! When will it be enough? When will we say STOP? The blood of the innocents cry up to God for vengeance and God WILL rain down justice. What will it take for us to wake up? Why are Christians so oblivious to the truth of this awful practice? If we don't make a stand, who will?
I agree! It has been used incorrectly for centuries to do just exactly that. If people actually read the context instead of pieces of verses, they would realize that Jesus was not saying we could not judge between right and wrong or we could not say what another person is doing is wrong else why give us commandments? There were other times where Jesus said we SHOULD judge - “by their fruits you shall know them” is one. No, we should be sure that when we judge we are not guilty of the same sin - hypocrites. What we should avoid is judging others motives, judging what we think we know is in their hearts - where ONLY God can see. Funny how many people use the Bible when they think it helps their point but then discard it if it goes against whatever they want to do.
