Well you may have been lurking, but your registered date is June of '11. I've been here since '98 and I don't remember those threads after mid October 2008. McCain had suspended his campaign for the meltdown at that point and started to publicly pull out of swing states. The press were much more successful at selling their guy at that time, because he was a blank slate. Now he has a record.
I contend that this is a replay of '80. In '80 most people were not voting FOR Reagan, they were voting AGAINST Carter. We have the same thing happening this time.

I know you hate Romney and are not voting for him. But it grows tiresome watching you challenge and heckle those that are voting for Romney. I don't understand it, I really don't. Do you honestly think he is as bad as Obama? Honestly? I doubt very seriously Mitt would consider releasing the Blind Shiek as just one example why he is better than Hussein. I live in that super blue state Chicaganoy. I can tell you that around here it’s pretty conservative, in fact most of Downstate is. But you are quite right, this state ain’t turning Red.

Seriously though, I’m surprised at how many people genuinely hate Romney and ridicule those who are going to vote for him. He wasn’t my first choice either(I wanted Cain) but I believe in my heart of hearts that Romney will be a better president than Obama..
Even in 2008 Anne Arundel was still blue collar Republican voted for McCain.
But Howard where I live turned Dem by 2004 much due to housing development rapidly created due to the housing boom and the massive increase in Fed gov spending and massive immigration. One of my list of peeves against GWB.

As to who hates Romney, we all do, more or less, and will hold our noses voting for him, though some, I know, won't. But the poster who started the thread with his wishful thinking fantasy unsupported by any data out there, seems to consider everyone who points out that it is a mere fantasy an enemy and an Obama lover. Ridiculous.
If you think voting for Romney saves us and all that is at stake, the priorities are horribly wrong. It goes to the reason we got Obama in the first place.
All I'm reading anymore is fear of Obama and the demand we trade one king for another, in the vain hope that Conservatives can hold his 'feet to the fire'. As if Tuesday at the RNC never happened.

Just to easy your ever so weary mind, I live in California, obama is up by 30 points here, it would matter if I vote or not, obama might as well be the only one on the ballot.
My experience on these threads have less than pleasant; I was called a Romney “Rump Ranger” (that was my favorite one), a liberal, a pro-abort just to name a few. This person was definitlely not voting for R and R. I asked him then did he think Obama would be a better president and he never responded. But my point is, I know you (plural) don’t like him, but it gets tiresome and not a little dispiriting to see some of these threads. Lets get rid of the Usurper and at least be united and happy enough about working to get Hussein the hell out, and then deal with Romney. Hopefully, this election will bring about a stronger House to keep Romney in check. I have no illusions about the Senate..
I am not so sure anyone can save US with 16 Trillion in debt. I don’t believe for one minute Romney is the savior. But he sure is the better choice in a two man race.
Look, we need every vote, living inCalifornia or not. But we also need a united front. Romney is not anyone’s first choice, but he is all we have. I don’t understand why we can’t all at least be happy about getting rid of Hussein.
