I love Newt, but I think he’s a bit too “in your face” to be Secretary of State.
My choice would be John Bolton - which would be a real stick in the eye to the State Dept. - and probably a better choice to remold that dept to better serve the President, instead of the radical left.
How about Liz Cheney - She’s so smart - and she is definitely a chip off the old block - as Under Secretary.

Newt is such a courageous man. Remember when he kept congress in session during the wee hours of the morning..drafting the contract? he did not cave...the govt shut down and the republicans won one of the biggest victories in my life time. I am ashamed of the establishment for forgetting the immense accomplishments of the speaker.
As for the crisis facing our country in the middle east..Newt knows more than the majority of pols would learn in a lifetime. I admire him even more than I thought possible for coming to MO to help raise funds for Akin. God be with the wonderful Speaker and with Todd Akin.

Romney’s a fool if he doesn’t use Newt during his campaign and appoint him as Secretary of State. I agree! Newt Gingrich has a tremendous memory of historical facts. Romney says he's for 100% of the people; he could prove it by hiring Newt to help with his debate prep.

I agree; was just talking to a friend about Newt the other day and that Romney really needs to have him on his Cabinet, preferably as Secretary of State. He'd be superb and just what America needs to fix all of Hitlery's mess.
