Don't worry, we will be in it within 24 hours. If Israel attacks, Iran will suspect that we will follow their lead, so they will create a problem* for the US first.
*A sub attack on our ships, Rocket attack on the US. Anything that will work.

Something else to consider. Some of the players in this game have equipment that can detect a nuclear explosion the instant it happens and half a world away. But they will not know if it was at altitude or in the middle of someones city. And in that game it is shoot first and see what happens later. That's the problem with a nuclear attack.
