As a side note, my son is a musician. Guitarist/singer. I’ve told him the dream is no longer worth pursuing. The money went out of music in the digital age. It was even a few years ago now that I read in Rolling Stone that the time musicians spend on the road vs at home has flipped since the 90’s. They now spend as much time on the road as they used to spend at home, for less money. The average kid today has thousands of hours of music on his computer that he hasn’t paid for.

Band width expansion had more to do with the demise of mp3 than anything else. There is a growing hoard of 1080p stuff showing up on YouTube and plenty of HD streaming via NetFlix, Hulu and other subscription channels, so much so that I think I will cut the cord soon.
