Huh. I thought buying and selling people was outlawed in the 19th century.
I wonder what it's like to get traded to a rival. Is it hard to get along with the new team? Or are the players one giant fraternity where they mainly get along?

The rich get richer. “English” soccer is a farce. Barely a handful of world class English players, surrounded by masses of talented foreigners. The oil sheiks and wealthy Americans buying up English teams are doing so because of the marketing potential, not because of a love for the game or interest in developing English talent. As long as the seats are filled and shirts sold, they could care less if the English game continues to decline.
