I wonder if some of those quills are in Bella’s eyes. There are so many quills I don’t see how the eyes wouldn’t get them, too.

Amazing, huh? I had a pit that got 2 quills in his nose when he found a porky under a log. That meant war. He’d hunt them for sport, grab them and swing them ‘til the patch of skin came off. His mouth, tongue and lips would be as thick with quills as the porky had been. I don’t think he ever had a quill within 2 inches of an eye, though. Bad as that picture is, it’s nothing compared to some attacks.
