FULL TITLE: Three US special force troops gunned down by traitor Afghan police commander who invited them to dinner - and it's the THIRD such deadly betrayal of allied forces in a week
Three members of America's special operations forces were killed by a local Afghan police commander in the country's Helmand province this morning.
The Afghan police commander opened fire on the three Americans after inviting them to dinner at his outpost under the pretext of having a meeting to discuss security.
Another service member was injured in the ambush in southern Afghanistan, which is the third deadly attack on coalition forces this week where eight Americans have been killed.

The lone gunman fled after attacking the troops while their guard was down. He is still on the loose and is being hunted, reported NBC. The Taliban claimed the shooter joined the insurgency after the attack.
The troops were killed while attending the dinner meeting in the Sarwan Qlal area, in what appears to be a planned attack. Also at the dinner were recruits to the Afghan Local Police, a village militia being trained by American special forces, according to an Afghan official.
'It looks like he had drawn up a plan to kill them previously,' an Afghan official said of the lone shooter. It is not clear if he was wearing military or police uniform during the attack.

You know why things like this rarely if ever happened to Russians in their occupation of Afghanistan? Because enemies of peace, like this bit of human debris, knew that their immediate and extended families would be rounded up and made to disappear. If they think they sacrifice only their own soul to martyrdom, there is no end to this.
RIP to our brave warriors, and prayers for the safety of our other soldiers in harm’s way.
The blood of these warriors and all of our warriors dead at the hands of the islamic filth on the watch of Akbar Hussein Maobama is on the hands of the commander-in-chief who refuses to prosecute this war or get the hell out of that Godforsaken place. He and his team of trash do not respect our warriors and do not care how many die.

I am wondering why in the heck US trainers do not set up a “trick”, that would create an opportunity for a traitor to unmask himself, but without risking their lives?
The obvious thing is to give them some training, then issue them what they think are live rounds, before bringing out someone they have never seen before who is dressed up as a high ranking officer.
But there are all sorts of tests they could use. A good rule of thumb is that if they will betray you over something petty, they will do so in a serious and harmful way.
We need some tracker dogs over there to track down these dogs so we can put them down.
This wouldn’t happen so much if we’d dump the murderer’s family into tree shredders whenever some Afghani when all “Sudden Jihad.”

After noting anecdotedly that Green on Blue is one of the fastest rising cause of casualties in OEF, I wondered why and if I could make a case that we (the Army) needed to focus analysis on this topic. I was surprised to find we have already collected data and have a nice report documenting why, and how to mitigate, so DoD leadership knows the answer (it’s not infiltration by terrorists, as I think most people believe). Somebody needs to get off their butts and start making the changes. Search on, “A crisis of trust and cultural incompatibility: A Red Team Study of Mutual Perceptions of Afghan National Security Force Personnel and U.S. Soldiers in Understanding and Mitigating the Phenomena of ANSF-Committed-Fratricide-Murders” to understand why this is happening and what the Army (Marines are actually doing pretty good already) needs to do to fix it.
