More Kids Taking Antipsychotics For ADHD: Study
US NEWS HEALTH ^ | August 7, 2012 | Steven Reinberg

TUESDAY, Aug. 7 (HealthDay News) -- Use of powerful antipsychotic medications such as Abilify and Risperdal to control youngsters with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other behavior problems has skyrocketed in recent years, a new study finds.

Antipsychotics are approved to treat bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, other serious mental problems and irritability related to autism. But they don't have U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for ADHD or other childhood behavior problems, and their use for this purpose is considered "off label."

"Only a small proportion of antipsychotic treatment of children (6 percent) and adolescents (13 percent) is for FDA-approved clinical indications," said lead researcher Dr. Mark Olfson, a professor of clinical psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City.

"These national trends focus attention on the substantial and growing extent to which children diagnosed with ADHD and other disruptive behavioral disorders are being treated with antipsychotic medications," said Olfson.

"We have a national catastrophe," said Breggin. "This is a situation where we have ruined the brains of millions of children."

In controlling behavior, antipsychotics act on the frontal lobes of the brain -- the same area of the brain targeted by a lobotomy, Breggin said.

"These are lobotomizing drugs," he added. "Of course, they will reduce all behavior, including irritability," he said."

Mass psychosis in the US
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2747952/posts

Here’s what I posted on that thread:

I saw this whole Frontline a few years ago. Here’s a small portion of it on YouTube. It was a scary episode.

One poor kid had been on multiple drugs since he was four because he was hyper. As a teen he developed a permanent, uncontrollable head roll, but his family still had him on multiple meds.

The Wholesale Drugging of Children
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSkwp-tDCWg

Here is the first video of the complete episode—it shows the boy with the headroll. The parents act like they are victims, and maybe they are, but they could have told the teachers early on to go pound sand. I know it’s hard when the system is working on you each day, but if the kids don’t have their parents, the system will gladly step in. For this boy it had life altering consequences.

Schools are contrary to natural growth and learning. Disruptive behavior is only natural, so drug ‘em!

Public school system children should be medicated to the max so the pedagogues will have an easier time “educating” them.

Maybe Obamacare will take care of that.

It was easy to predict that once parents stopped parenting due to laziness and ignorance that those parents would find an excuse for their out of control kids. Here it is: “My kid is defective, not MY parenting!” This was coming down quickly by 1986 and is now in full force. Schools get more moeny for every child they can get on drugs so they make every excuse to do it.

Some parents have REAL out of contrl kids, such as with Aspergers. The vast majority of parents putting their kids on drugs is about their laziness and unwillingness to parent.

Unfortunately, the Super State has made Saying No to it almost impossible.

http://voiceofdetroit.net/2011/08/08/tangled-web-in-godboldo-case-drug-cos-private-and-public-agencies-judge-dhs-all-benefit-from-child-abduction/

Mom Godboldo took her 13 year old off of Risperdal because the child was reacting badly to it. What she got in return was a SWAT TEAM to save her daughter from medical neglect.

The girl has a prosthetic leg, and the authorities said they were afraid she was going to run away.

This November is make or break. We MUST take our country back.

Thank You JESUS...thank you, thank you, a million times THANK YOU LORD! My son was diagnosed with ADHD in elementary and we were devastated. We knew right away how difficult and rough it was going to get. BUT, when the teachers and Dr told us to put him on the drug Ritalin I refused, instead I took to my knees very day and kept in close contact with the teachers. I was always available to his teachers in anything they need that would help my son. This was 28 years ago and now....THANK YOU JESUS..he just got his Physician’s assistant degree, after getting his bachelors in Biology...again, I can’t tell you how important it is to seek God first and keep the line of communication with the child’s teacher. It was a LOOOOOONNGG road of many, many shed tears and hard work, but he DID IT...HE DID IT...I’m so proud of him I can’t even beginning to tell you. I praise God cause he made a way for my child and us. To God be the Glory!!!

Abilify and Risperdal are so damaging that FDA’s Medwatch has them down for causing homicides.

Put them both in the search box and hit enter.

You nailed that right.

If I had been here a few minutes ago, I would have beat you to it!

From now on, I don’t care a whit about what weapon, tool or whatever the monster used to injure and kill people.

I want to know: WHAT MEDZ WHERE THEY JACKED UP ON AND WHO WAS THE IDIOT PSYCHOBABBLER WHO JACKED THEM UP?

Criminal charges need to start flowing for these quacks.

Unfortunately that’s not the case any more. A LOT of girls are getting jacked up on Ritalin now, too.

Some say its the reason for the “girls gone wild” phenomenon.
