NBC has always chosen to delay broadcast of “headliner” events for their prime-time program. They pay a lot of money for the broadcast rights, and they want to draw eyeballs to the screen during the biggest advertising dollar windows.
Anyone with a computer, or a smartphone (assuming you have the right TV carrier) could have watched the race live. I am pleasantly surprised the lengths that NBC has gone to allow people to watch as much of the Olympics live as they like, while they continue to use their broadcast and cable networks to show a more traditional Olympic experience.
Good points and everyone here should listen up. They are a business (making a profit which is a good thing) and not an entitlement for viewers. People here of all places should understand that.
People complain way too much.
