I'm a child of the Boston suburbs...lived here all my life. But in the last few years I've developed an enormous respect for farmers. That respect comes partially from two recent road trips I've taken...one the entire length of I-29 from Missouri, through the Dakotas and to the Canadian border. The other, just a month ago,was along I-80 through Nebraska and Iowa.I guess "awestruck" is the best way to describe my reaction to what I saw during these trips.
Remember, there are surprising few things that separate us from the lowliest of the Fourth World countries and the ability to feed ourselves...well...is one of them.

I don’t have a problem with farmers, although they do tend to complain a hell of a lot (i.e. Farm-Aid Concerts and such). My problem is with Republicans that know better, but still have to answer to them.
Anyone with a car over 10 years old knows EXACTLY what I mean when I say “Ethanol”. So do those Republicans. And soon, based on what’s going on, even 5 year old cars will start having problems as the amount of alcohol in gasoline continues to climb.

Can we really do that? Have you looked into what makes up our tractors and combines today? No, once China pulls the plug on us, and our machines start to break down, IT’S OVER.
...but do we care. Naaa.
