Triple jumper Voula Papachristou was expelled from Greece's Olympic team Wednesday for her comments on Twitter mocking African immigrants and expressing support for a far-right party.
The Hellenic Olympic Committee said Wednesday that Papachristou is "placed outside the Olympic team for statements contrary to the values and ideas of the Olympic movement.

If you read the article you get the impression that her real sin is publically supporting the views of Golden Dawn, a formerly marginal extreme right party that entered the Greek Parliament in the recent two national elections.
Besides pictures of her indicate a young woman who couldn't be guilty of anything [at link]. Still its nice to know the forces of political correctness are just as rabid in Greece, birthplace of democratic thought, as they are here in the US. That's most comforting.
Question: If you make a joke about Africans, how is that racist? Africa has MANY races: Arabs, Blacks, Boers, Indians, Copts, etc.
IMHO, to assume that someone is referring to a specific race when someone says “African” is racist.
If they're running the mile, blacks should only have to complete three laps. If it's a shooting event, blacks should be given perfect scores on the first one-quarter of the course.
That's the only way to punish the girl, and the white race in general. /s
Why not - if the words, “hoe,” “jungle,” “ape,” “monkey,” “water mellon,” etc. are racist, according to the race hustlers, why not “African.”

You’re exactly right. Nothing “racist” at all in her African-west Nile virus comment; her terrible offense is simply her support of a conservative political movement. Shame on Greece!

Recently there was one of their spokes persons that blew up on a TV interview when a lady called him a fascists. How do you supposed to react to such a slanderous statement I don't know? But it made the Golden Dawn movement look bad.
The media doesn't have any evidence that i have seen that they are a fascists organization they show the Golden dawn logo and claims it looks kinda like a swastika but it is ancient Greek origins. Typical slander by the media is all I see so far.
Will anyone be chastised for making jokes about doing “it” greek style?
