I have no idea why he doesn't show up in the usual places online but it seems possible to me that as a shy loner with no friends he wouldn't really have a reason to spend a lot of time on Facebook or possibly he deleted his presence online as part of his grand strategy. I wouldn't have thought that not showing up on Facebook is all that weird but maybe I'm the one that's out of the loop here.

Many people set up sock puppet accounts to hide their real identities on social forums. This is not all that uncommon.

He may not have had any accounts although I find that somewhat hard to believe.

I looked this morning. There are hundreds and hundreds of James Holmes listed, many don’t have location or use something other than a picture of themselves as a profile picture so it will be hard to go through. It might be near impossible to determine which one his is depending on his personal security settings.

...also, we can chalk this up to more poor investigation by CBS in claiming he wasn’t on Facebook considering how many James Holmes were on Facebook. The most they can say is they don’t know, not that he wasn’t there.

Not at all.Neither my husband nor myself have Facebook.Listening to people at work who have it it seems like a huge waste of time.If I want to connect w/ someone I will call them.

I think this whole thing about living so much of your life in public is not healthy.

The guy sounds like a recent convert to the OWS Black Bloc, of which some will say is the brainchild of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.

I’ve never had a Facebook account. I’m online in a bunch of places, but never under my real name. I like being free to express controversial, politically-incorrect opinions without real-world harassment.

Lucky guy. Now everybody wants to friend him on Fakebook, everybody wants to know about his family friends siblings, you can bet that marriage proposals will flow to him like an Amazon river. What’s wrong with use people? Tabloid much?

It’s often recommended that aspiring professionals steer clear of social networking as prospective employees can track that and might find something to discredit you.
