You shouldn't have the same type problem with dry ice as with any other gasses . Carbon dioxide is heavier than air so if you drop a few pieces down the hole and block the entrance as the dry ice dissipates the carbon dioxide gas the gas will fill both the feeding chamber and the lower chamber .
